Amy! Hi, Rest as long as you can. I'm so happy the twins are growing so

nicely. I can't wait to hear about your ultrasound. That will be so

neat to take a peek at them in there!

I am glad to hear that everything is going well. I completely

understand about not getting anything done, I am the same way. I have

so many things to do and that I want to do, and each night I fall

into bed and have only gotten a few done. Some day I will get caught

up! It is so overwhelming. I went back to work last week also, and

even though I am working at home, it seems to be crazy. I get no work

done at home unless the baby is sleeping.

Hi there! I was glad to hear your update and to know that you are still doing great. Your pregnancy is progressing along so nicely! I'm really happy for you. I can't wait until your next appointment. I want to know if Fozzie & Wozzie are boys or girls or one of each! Take care of yourself and enjoy it!

Hi ,

I hope you got through Monday ok!! Mondays are my busiest day, so I have

little time to do anything real thinking (ha ha!! I bet my bosses would

love to hear that comment!! ) Anyway, how much longer do you think you

will be in the office before you get to " retire " or work from home?

Vicki,

I'm thinking maybe by Christmas. My co-worker isn't returning from her maternity leave until 11/15, so atleast not before then. And, it'll take some time before I have things organized enough to quit and work from home. But, I am on a mission! :)

I'm 7-1/2 weeks, so I guess I was hoping that the answer would

be 8!!! LOL. I think I've been assuming that the reason I feel this

way is because I'm still early in my pregnancy.

Nervous Nellie? Yeah, that might be me! You know, everall I'm a

confident, intelligent, well-read person, so I'm just not used to

feeling this way. Maybe I'm trying to look for logic where there are

only hormones! : )

Hey, we are due around the same time. I am 22 weeks and found out I

was having a boy at my ultrasound (which is nice because I have a 2

1/2 yr old little girl). Don't stress about what the ultrasound is

dating. Ultrasound is actually only really accurate to date a

pregnancy in the very beginning (like 6 or 7 weeks). Mine 20-week

u/s was off about 5 days from my estimated due date. I'm sure the

baby's size is just fine. So try not to stress over it.

Congratulations and good luck!!!

I was told by my Perinatalogist that US can be either plus or minus a week on

due dates. He also said that the size of the fetus can be off by 50 %.

Congratulations on your pregnancy !! As for the OB's office not

forwarding records I know this first hand. Mine refuses told me to get a

" court order " if I wanted it! Now this is a man who's left being an OB and

is still a GYN, and I loved his care.. until he almost killed my DD!! I had

2 very highrisk pgs with a stillbirth and he refuses to send the info to my

new OB (and we're now having another heart defect problem again all the more

reason for him to send them)... sending letters to him via a Law Firm now!

Congrats on your pregnancy, ! Girls are great! :o)

If my old OB's office was being a pain about sending records, I wouldn't

just let it go. They really have to cooperate. I think I'd start

calling everyday until the records were forwarded or schedule a time

when I could go down and pick them up. You know what they say about the

squeaky wheel. ;o)

update

(snip) My former doctors office isn't

being helpful in sending my record to my new OB, so there is no way

for to be sure of the type of incision on my uterus even though my

visible scasr is transverse. Since both the twins were breech she

feels there may be a greater chance of a verticle scar on my uterus,

which would put me at a great risk for a uterine rupture.

I will just go the safest route for me and " miss New Baby "

and that seems to be a c-section

They taught me how to do it yesterday, and yes, I did it with

Read Judith Bluestone's books. I am reading them now in anticipation of this

class I'm taking this weekend: Understanding Neurodevelopmental Differences. I

am becoming more and more convinced that there is a real answer in HANDLE. Our

kids need understanding of their entire being -- and ways to enhance and improve

the functioning of all of those messed up systems -- before they are medicated

or " treated " or whatever. I got both books from Amazon for less than $30. I

didn't try, but they may be available through interlibrary loan or the Early

Childhood Clearing House in IL. Once we get through Aubrie's evals in April, I

can let you know more about this dr we're seeing in Orland Park as well. Of

course, I don't know about the specialists in IA so maybe their approach is

great too. Whatever you do, I hope you find answers. It's really a shame (or a

travesty -- I don't know -- something bigger than a shame, for sure!) that our

kids' behavior can be such an obstacle for them.

Sure seems to me that the behavior comes from all the other stuff combined --

very complicated and complex stuff.

I'm glad she's better and you're done fighting all those medical battles --

atleast ongoing ones. I'm sure it's not over as far as getting the meds covered

etc for the time she did use them. Let us know what you get done and how you

got thru it for future reference for all the families who will face similar

battles after you.
