Dear Pat,

You vent all you want! You are grieving too. Give yourself time and be

patient with yourself. I am so sorry you lost your Mom over the Holidays. You

know your Mom is still with you in spirit. She is watching over you. I lost

my Mom several years ago. After the initial grieving period I had a very

strong feeling she was with me. As time went on I knew she was with me

giving strength to cope with her loss and live my life(I was 20 yrs). You

have been in my prayers. Take it easy!!!

Annie,

Just wanted to say I am just about following you, been a little over a

year and I am using a walker, my speech, while still not bad, is greatly

affected taking much more energy to do. Swallowing etc. I fully expect to

be in a chair by the end of this year. So you are not alone, hang in there,

we will get through this. It sounds trite but I try to just focus on the

present and immediate future, kind of live for today. If I start thinking

where I'm heading, well, lets not... We are planning however for it, just

had a bathroom remodeled for w/c access...

I do have a question for you, did yours start in the upper body or lower?

Mine started in the upper.
