I became a grandma again last week (Sept 25th) Kori had a big girl (I was going to say little girl, but decided I should re-think that one!). Kiara Devynn weighed in at 8 lbs, 11 oz and she was 22.5 inches long! Takes after the daddy. Kori's only 5'2 " . They had said they thought the baby would be low birthweight because Kori did horrible on prenatal care, but little Kiara surprised us all! Speaking of the Daddy, he got to see her today and hold her. I think its his first child (he's in the army, Kori and him split up about a month after she got pregnant). Kori *is* going to keep the baby, she's got another boyfriend in her life now... he was there when the baby was born and even cut the cord. He's 23, Kori's 19. Anyway... I'm down here in Hawaii working on my MSW degree... I'm going to fly back up to Alaska this coming Friday and will get to spend a week at home with Kori and Kiara. I just wanted to share grandma news and let you know I can relate a little to what you are going through. Oh yea... and I cried when our second child was a girl... I wanted a boy... and when I had three girls, I thought God was punishing me.
