As far as I'm concerned - walking is burning more calories than sitting in front of the tv. (Just as standing is burning more calories than sitting - lol). So - if I walk 15 mints, 10 mint, or 30 mints - I'm pleased and happy for me and feel - KNOW - I am benefitting myself - reguardlesss of what any doctor or news group seems to think. Guest guest
That is great about you being able to walk to your WW meeting! Wish I could do that, I know our leader does sometimes. I live too far away. Plus...it is full on winter here, it was 10 below zero this morning. I would much prefer walking on my treadmill in the warm house than walking outside in these temperatures. But, lots of good restaurants, too. And movie theaters. And if we drive ten minutes, we're in Philly, where there is everything imaginable. If we go 40 minutes in the other direction, we are deep in the NJ woods called the Pinelands. If we drive one hour, we are at the beach.
