I hope you have another super day!!! WTG!!!!! Sending you encouragement and

walking

Sticking to induction and drinking my water and walked my 3 miles. Now on

to another good day today. Just hope the weather holds out for us and it

gets cool at night a bit so I can continue to walk. By 8 am it's too hot

already. Sheesh.

Lyssa, how about sending us some rain!!!! It is so partched here,

really unusual and we are limited to when we can water the lawn so it

is hardly green yet :(

Jayne that is why I walk at 5 AM...now I know it sounds terribly early, but

is is a great time...birdies are waking up and chirping away, the air is

clean and fresh and cool...and it really sets the pace for the rest of the

day. I overslept ten minutes this morning and did not get out till it was

totally light and it was a let-down!!! I really like watching the colors

the sky turns as the sun comes up.

Hi ,

Congratulations on the excersize! I was reading something on Yahoo

today where it was saying that walking at a normal rate without

increasing the heart rate all that much will do not much for a person

other than losen up the muscles and get some fresh air. How many

others read this today or have heard this?

I too am starting to walk at least everyday if I can for 15-30

minutes if I don't do a regular workout at the gym which I am just

starting to get back into the swing of things there. It might take

alittle while before I can say I am going 3-4 times a week.

well, my first reaction is to say, how would a non walker ever get to the point

of being a power walker, if he/she doesn't start off at a slower pace? also, I

think any kind of movement requires energy burning.

I watch this show from time and time and find it inspiring. Lots of info on

walking/exercise/health, too: http://www.pbs.org/americaswalking/

I also think walking is great for mental health.
