Welcome ,

The reason they didn't is because I was gone all day yesterday. I am a

moderator and we moderate new members for a bit to make sure they are

legit, to avoid SPAM. So new posters messages have to be " approved " and

I was not home to do that. Sorry. Just wanted to let you know it wasn't

you. They went through. Catch ya more later. Have a dentist appt this

afternoon.

Hi Alectra

Welcome to the group!!!

Yes I can relate to that, last year I got to goal

weight then quit smoking and promptly put half my lost

weight back on again. It has been slowly creeping

upwards ever since.

I tried to quit smoking and lose weight at the same

time this year, Huh! How dumb can one person be,LOL.

No Chance.

I'm smoking again and desperately trying to lose

again. Trouble is the older I get, the harder it is.

:-(

I will make it, I will make it. Got to stay positive.

Ok I'm rambling now, catch you later.

Welcome !

It is nice to have a guy around again. They have been in hiding or

something. Maybe a new guy member will bring some of the others

back?????? I'm Gena, 38, live in Alaska with hubby of almost 20 years

and we have 2 girls. At my heaviest I was 284, I am 5'3 " . I am so far

about 207 and still going at it. I have one recommendation. Don't be

too focused on exact numbers. Instead work on habits and lifestyle so

that you wont just lose weight but it will stay off. You might want to

read some old posts. There is great info there. Hope to hear more from

you.

Hi ,

My name is Sue and I live in Fla. I'm new to this group too and as you'll

soon find out you've come to the right place for support and friendship.

It's great to hear from people with the same " problems " and how they are

succssfully overcoming them.

We all have to learn to take it one day at a time and the motivation factor

does get in the way!

Just start by watching your portions and drink more water, those are the

" baby steps " I'm taking, oh and of course more moving.

I'm in another group on Yahoo that taught me " you can do ANYTHING for 15

minutes " so why not try setting your timer and see what happens.

Good luck, read and post often and hope to get to know you better.

Hi and welcome. I'm brand new too but had to reply to you. I

wanted most to congratulate you on getting out of an abusive

relationship. It's hard, scarey and lonely I know. You are very

brave, and if you can do that you can do anything....including

loosing that weight again and anything else you set your mind too.

That's great that you started exercising. Maybe you lost motivation

because you didn't find something that really interested you. I know

I have to drag myself onto the treadmill because I find it boring,

but if I do walking tapes instead I'm good because atleast they have

some variation. Just start slow and find something you like, once

that becomes habit to you, you can add more. I look forward to

hearing from you, Meaghan

I live near Sarasota on the West Coast of Fla. Lived here for the last 25

yrs. Hate the summers.

You would think I would sweat off a few lbs during the summer months it's so

darn hot and humid.

Does Crystal Light count as water? I love their tea and could easily get

more in that way. Drinking water has always been SO hard for me.

Good luck to you on this new lifestyle.
