hey ladies

i was sitting on the couch tonight after going out to eat with dh and we were

talking to someone and I FELT THE BABY MOVE. Well at least i think i did.

it sure felt just like it. it happened again a few minutes later, but

nothing else. ( little butterflies)

i thought it was too early, but i looked it up and it said smaller build

women can feel it this early. plus after having a baby i kinda remember how

it feels. it was so awesome. i almost cried. i want to feel it again. i

have sat here and begged for him/her to move.

well just thought i would share, thanks for listening.

Pam,

WooHoo! I am so glad Belle gained some weight. That is awesome. I'm sure by Friday she'll have gained some more. I know that is a huge weight off of your mind. I have a question... are you still pumping and feeding that to her in the bottle? I hope everything continues to go well!

Pam,

You mentioned to Kim that you set your alarm last night... I was up at 3:30 pumping! :) Emma slept through and I was totally full, so downstairs I went! It's funny the things we do! ;)

Pam,

I am happy to hear Belle's weight was up. Breastfeeding is my biggest

challenge, but now 8 weeks later, it seems a lot easier. I was

thinking that yesterday, how now I dont even think about it, it comes

easy, and in the beginning forget about it, it was so difficult for

us. BEfore you know it she will have grown so much! Just look at

Christian, he is so big compared to 8 weeks ago. We go Thursday for 2

month check up and shots, I cant wait to see what he weighs.

I admire you for your persistance and I am sure Belle appreciates it.

Pam,

That is wonderful news! I am so glad Belle is doing much better now. And

the breastfeeding sounds promising. Good luck with it!!

I can;t believe its almost time for Christians 2 month check up. I

hope Belle will catch on w/the breast feeding. I think its going to

be harder now because of the bottle. Its very tiring pumping then

feeding. Especially at night. I have to set my alarm clock. Once I

have a good milk production we might be able to stretch out the night

feedings.

Pam,

Belle will get the hang of it, it will just take a little time.

Pumping and feeding is tiresome, but it gets easier. When you milk

supply is good, you will be able to go longer and then when you pump

you will get alot in no time.

I am excited to see about Christian's wieght and height, but upset

because he is so big already! He is getting his shots, I hope he does

well.

Hi

I am still pumping and bottle feeding. I have this industrial type of

pump. It is so exhausting. The nights are the worse. I have had to

set my alarm clock so I can pump before she wakes up hungry. I am

hoping that she will catch on to the breastfeeding thing soon. I hope

the bottle didn't screw her up to much. I am so happy that she is

doing better.

I can't wait until I am producing more milk. I have had to supplement

w/formula because she is still hungry sometimes. We are trying to

give her as little formula as possible.

Don't the days go by amazingly fast? I can't get over it.

Pam, I am so happy that Belle gained some weight!! That is wonderful news. I do have a question, if the baby is latching on, how is a mom suppose to know if he/she is actually eating? Is there any way of knowing for sure? Just curious. I know Belle will be just fine but of course will continue to keep her in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you are getting aliitle rest too. good news Hi LadiesI have good news to report. We went to the peds this morning and Belle was up 6oz. Of course she ate 2 oz of food before we went to the peds. Even so she is looking good. We are going to try breast feeding 2 feedings a day and see how it goes. We tried one today but I felt to sad for her when she kept crying. I am not supposed to give in because then she will know she will get the bottle. After I fed her she did latch on for a little bit. Although I don't know if she ate anything or not. She seemed interested though. We go back on Fri for her 2 week check up and weigh in. I feel 100% better now. Thanks for all your positive thoughts.Pammom to Belle 10 days old

My dr office has a lac consultant. Its actually the woman who did my

breast feeding class. The hospital has one and also my peds office.

Pam,

That sounds great!! I'm so glad she is gaining weight. It sounds like a

good plan to b-feed her 2x a day at least she is getting all the good

stuff from you and gaining weight. Yea!! I'm glad it is getting easier.

Pam, I'll have to ask my dr and the hospital when I go. Sounds like they can be a big help, especially for first timers!! lol! Has Belle been able to breastfeed today? Thanks. Great news on not having the chemo Ann! Congrats...sounds like you are well

on the path to fully and complete healing. I've been through the reversal

for an ileostomy if you have anything you want to ask.

Yes - it can be very mind spinning thinking about all the why's....but sounds

like you did a good thing with the genetic testing. Maybe the best thing is

to try to live as healthy a life as possible from here on out - without

driving yourself crazy about it along the way. No small feat, trying to find

that

balance..but with lots of friends along the way to help it can be done. That's

my plan anyways!

Best wishes for you.

Sheila
