Guest guest
I'm glad you asked! lol IKWYM about asking personally. We are doing a fundraiser in my huband's phone stores. For every phone activated $10.00 will go to the CFF. Also anyone puchasing a leather phone case or car adapter $10.00 of the proceeds will go to CFF. WE are doing this for the month of April and May. We have 2 stores and so far we are racking in the $$$. I also set a can with GIVE TO CF just above the flyer W/Josh's picture on it. How can anyone possibly not give after looking at his sweet innocent face :>) And ofcourse we are doing the Strides Walk in May . We are kind of making it Josh's 1st B-day party due to the fact the walk is the day after. I'm just so excited to be apart of this! Good Luck to everyone raising money! Stein....Mom to CF (10 mo)W/a list of underlying aliments & Tori wo/Cf (3 1/2 yr) W/asthma Great Strides So is anyone doing anything creative for Great Strides this year? We have posted a flyer at my husband's office, sent out and an email and I printed up some postcards. It is kind of funny but I/we are reluctant to ask people in person for donations. This is really weird for me since I was in sales/sales management for 10+ years, but it is like CF is too personal. Anyone else feel like that? Guest guest
Lori, Every year for the Great Strides I write a newsletter with recent " CF news " and also my health and life, and send it to everyone in my address book with a form letter and brochure asking them to help. THe newsletter covers all of the possibilities, such as the phantom walking, sponsoring etc. I also go to a few stores in the area where I know people and get them to sell the shoes for me, and my friend works at a gym so she is going to put a big bottle in there to collect change. I also go to school and give my newsletter and brochures to everyone in my class whether I know them or not, and do a speech in my church. Good luck raising money!!! It can be fun sometimes, but also frustrating if you dont reach your goal. -le

It's probably the biggest CF fundraiser here in the United States (at least it's the main one I know about, but then I haven't been in the CF community for very long). I notice you're from Australia. Do you have a similar event there? Conway mommy to and , 15 mo twins wcf __________________________________________________
Guest guest
, Our main cf charity event is The Ultimate Garage Sale. Its done by LJ Hooker which is a real estate firm country wide and they usually raise alot of money. I helped this year at our local chapter. I couldnt believe how cheap people are. They know its for charity and they still want it for nothing. Good luck with the walk. I sent out an email to my coworkers and got three pledges. Our walk isn't until May 19 so we have plenty of time. My MIL and mom both do the CFRI Mother's Day Tea so they don't participate or give money to Great Strides. But thanks to my coworkers I'll have some money to turn in. Get this, our CFF chapter is asking for money the day BEFORE the walk this year. Guess they can't get their hands on it quick enough! Hmph!
