Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem and how long it took after chemo to get your taste buds back. Water tasted like metal to me and I craved VERY hot spicy foods- I even blistered my lips once with some spice shrimp I made it was so hot! it took a few weeks after chemo to get back to good tasting water and for the hot cravings to calm down... Guest guest
Hi all, During my chemo nothing tasted quite right, especially sweets (and I love sweets!). I haven't gotten any mouth sores, but I had thrush and dry mouth so I've been using a special toothpaste and mouthwash (Biotene). I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem and how long it took after chemo to get your taste buds back. -

Guest guest
...I have the same problem. My taste buds usually return to normal within a couple of weeks. Sometimes it doesn't start for a week after but this time it was right away. funny tastes Hi all,During my chemo nothing tasted quite right, especially sweets (and I love sweets!).
