Hi there,

I have 2 children Ainsle wcf and when pregnant with her I drank alot of

water and yes had fluid retention and had morning sickness (but only on

work days, not the weekends). When I was pregnant with Connor I had

pregnancy diabetes and the doctor assumed that I probably had it for

Ainslie's pregnancy too, that doctor just hadn't tested for it.

Ainslie is double delta 508, and she has only experienced " mild " bowel

problems, requires enzymes, has had some lung involvement but her main

issues at present are with her sinuses. She has never had IV

antibiotics in her 8 1/2 yrs and has only been hospitalised for

sinuses.

A close friends children are both d508 and they have both had lung

involvement in the past and have been in and out of hospital all their

lives, at present their lungs are not an issue but one has " severe "

sinus problems and the the other has " severe " bowel problems. So

siblings can be very different.

My understanding is that all the other genes affect the " severity "

(looking for a better word) of cf.
