Guest guest
I was so happy to read about the 4.4 for Bert. One of the reasons I fled the list was because there seemed to be only bad news. Somewhere in this last month, I have become very fearful and turned into a house hermit who hides out under covers all day. All I think about is dying. I'm petrified. Help anyone. .. karima
Guest guest
Karima, We are all scared of dying. But, you know, if all that you think about it dying, than you will die sooner rather than later. When I first started this thing, and I was curled up in bed with nausea and fatigue because of chemotherapy, I never envisioned that I would have a 3 month span of not really being sick and feeling almost as good as I felt before I was diagnosed. But it happened. I don't know how long it will last, and I don't care - I'm going to enjoy it while I can and deal with the sickness when it comes again. You should do the same. We all have too much to live for, whether it is family, friends, or even pets. I think if you go outside and look at the sun and the sky, nonstop for 5 minutes, you'll realize that the planet that we have been given is truely a beautiful and remarkable thing - something that we should not take the time to ignore. Every day lost is a day that you do not get back. Whether we have cancer or not, our time on earth is finite. It may be 40 years or it may be 70 years, or it may be 1 or 2 years. So if you think about it, besides length everybody is the same whether they are sick or not, because the truth of the matter is that nobody does everything that they want to do before they die. Time to get up. Joe > I was so happy to read about the 4.4 for Bert. Guest guest
Karima, Well said Joe. Live and enjoy life. Get your mind on enjoying your family and friends. Try to have a good time...you may out live many of your family and friends. None of us know if we will be here tomorrow. Any kind of accident could take any of us. Just make sure your heart is right and don't worry about death. Life may not be the party we asked for, but as long as we're here, we might as well dance. --Author Unknown DON'T QUIT When things go wrong as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low, and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but don't you quit. Life is queer with its twists and turns, As everyone of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out. Don't give up though the pace seems slow, You might succeed with another blow. Success is failure turned inside out, The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far. So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit, It's when things seem worse, that you must not quit.
