Hi Amy,

I only go a few times a day these days between waking up and going to sleep

at night, and I don't notice any difference on my workout days. I think my

urine production is just down overall though so I would not be a good point of

comparison for you.

Hi Amy,

I have to say, since being on the pred, I drink water ALL the time

now just to avoid leg cramps, so that I'm forever running off to the

bathroom!

I don't find for myself that I am running off to the bathroom

anymore than usual when I'm active or working out that day. Then

again, I think it's because I lose most of my water through sweat

instead. I think it's natural tho, because exercise will cause you

eliminate more toxins, and...well, there's only a very few ways a

body can eliminate them. : D

Well, as I understand it, the physiology of the body with regard to exercise

is that water loss via the kidney actually decreases with prolonged heavy

exercise, but it increases in other ways. Maybe you urinate more frequently,

but not a greater volume. But due to the water loss in other ways, mainly

via the lungs and sweat, you do need to hydrate more when you exercise a

lot - at least under normal circumstances.
