Guest guest
Wow, this is really confusing stuff!! Hope you all can help:) My IgA is negative, my tTG is negative but my IgG is positive for celiac. I have also had delayed food allergy testing (IgG specific) for many foods and came up with an allergy to gluten among many other food, including most grains, eggs, dairy and others. Has anyone had this type of food allergy testing? What do you think of it? I have never had any of the GI type symptoms that many celiacs seeem to experience, but I do have thyroid disease(Hashimotos thyroiditis), I have suffered from depression and had autoimmune pericarditis twice...so the question is do I have true celiac disease or only a non-celiac gluten sensitivity? Does it matter which one? Seems that a gluten free diet is the solution either way?right? But then the question of my kids comes into play...do I need a true diagnosis for their benefit? I guess an endosopy with a biopsy is the " gold standard " for this diagnosis...but, I have been gluten free on and off for the last few weeks and strictly GF for the last 5 days.(I feel better GF and without the other allergic foods, when I eat them I can gain 10 pounds in 3-4 days!Dr says that is a result of inflammation as an autoimmune reaction to the foods. If I stay GF and have the biopsy in 1-2 weeks, will the resluts be compromised buy my GF status? or is the intestinal healing not that quick? Sorry to ramble on...but I'm confused and not sure what to do from here. Your thoughts and experiencee are much appreciated!
Guest guest
I am so new to this and had an endoscope today (fun times) they also took blood to test, my question is where do you get those good allergy tests? Me and my SO would love to get that done. I am limited to the VA hospital so I would have to pay out of pocket for anything not mainstream, which is fine. I think that test would be very helpful. Where do I start looking? Phonebook? TIA ) JudyLynn Wow, this is really confusing stuff!! Hope you all can help:) My > IgA is negative, my tTG is negative but my IgG is positive for > celiac. Guest guest
I had my IgG allergy testing done by an integrative physician in NYC...it was not paid for my insurance:( I am reading a book by Dr Braly that is very informative about this subject...I know he has a website perhaps try searching that and it might direct you to places where you can have the testing done?? good Luck. > > I am so new to this and had an endoscope today (fun times) they also took > blood to test, my question is where do you get those good allergy tests? > Me and my SO would love to get that done. Guest guest
Thank you for the infomation I found the website (http://www.drbralyallergyrelief.com/) and it has a lot of info to go through, I googled for the tests he suggested and found http://www.yorkallergyusa.com/ York Nutritional Laboratories. That was a great help, both me and my SO want to do this, plus my father has the same diagnoses as me, the doctors are dense though, so he was interested in this. If I am lucky I can get mom to try this (she is allergic to soo many things I feel terible for her). Thanks again you were a huge help! ) JudyLynn > I had my IgG allergy testing done by an integrative physician in > NYC...it was not paid for my insurance:( I am reading a book by Dr > Braly that is very informative about this subject...I know he > has a website perhaps try searching that and it might direct you to > places where you can have the testing done?? good Luck.
