Guest guest Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 I didn't get this info from the Synthroid Nazi's I got it straight from Ray Peat. http://www.thyroid-info.com/articles/ray-peat.htm http://raypeat.com/ http://www.efn.org/~raypeat/ http://thyroid.about.com/cs/expertinterviews/a/raypeat.htm I've never used Synthroid. I 'm going to check with Forest Pharmaceuticals in the morning and ask about their fillers. I took Armour for over 20 yrs and it worked fine till I was exposed to mercury during amalgam removal.Taking high doses of Armour clogs the brain with too much T4 causing brain fog.As far as the FDA goes ....like they have any credibility,(like how many people died from Vioxx) an FDA approved drug, but this is not the point.Fillers can inhibit the absorption of hormones in people who have cellular resistance. Yes I know all about Armour.....I took it for over 20 yrs and preferred to use a natural hormone but it no longer worked and I wanted to feel better. It may have even been the fillers in Armour that was a problem but I didn't consider this back then.T3 gave me my life back and that can't be all bad.I haven't felt this good in 7 yrs so for me it is the answer.I'll let you know what I find out about the fillers. Chantal Hi! Chantal- Armour does not use an inibiting polymer as a filler. Geez the misinformation that is fostered by the synthroid nazis (and synthetic gurus) never ceases to amaze me. If half of the rumors were true Armour would not have GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) status with the FDA for over 100 years. Not so with synthroid which is not FDA approved and Levothyroid has had a serious recall problem because dose was very subpar at manufacture. Why would you want synthetic T3 when you can get the biological real thing along with all the other hormones that a healthy thyroid produces (T1, T2, T3, T4, AND calcitonin healthy calcium metabolism) in a natural thyroid hormone such as Armour? Did you know that natural thyroid hormone doses (Armour) require monitoring and slow increases until the optimal dose is acheived? Did you know hypo symptoms can return if the dose is too low. .....
