Guest guest
Hi everyone, I asked this question on the adult-metal-chelation and no-one replied... maybe someone here can help? I've just started undergoing a treatment plan for candida, under the guidance of a nutritionist. She's recommended a powder to take for leaky gut, called " Perm-a-vite " , made by the Allergy Research Group. Among other things, it contains 160mg of MSM per dose (= tablespoon). I was concerned about this as I am sulphur food-sensitive. I phoned the company who supply it (Nutri-Link in the UK) and explained, and they said that this amount was too small to be a problem, I would have to take grams of MSM to have a bad reaction. Does this sound right? I've never tried MSM before. This powder also contains L-Glutamine, N-Acetyl-D- Glucosamine, Slippery Elm, Stevia and " Glandular Complex with Epithelial Growth Factor " (whatever that is!). Does this combination sound OK? Thanks for any advice, Cici (PS I've been reading the recent posts here about sulphur food reactions. I agree that mine are worse when chelating. Eggs are a disaster, but even yoghurt (containing whey protein?) and certain nuts (methionine?) cause problems. I get into a state where I can't think or speak, for several hours. When I'm not chelating, I'm fine, even with omlettes!)
