Guest guest
Vickie, Congratulations! That is very exciting news. The Bariatric Dept called me the following week to set up my appts. You will probably meet with the surgeon or have orientation next month. You can then begin to lose your 10%, but don't count on any previous weight loss affecting the 10% they will give you to lose. I was feeling quite low this morning not wanting to go to work this afternoon, really in a funk, then I got "the letter" I was crying shaking, I don't remember even opening the envelope, I hugged my son who had brought me the mail, he said "easy mom!" (he's 16)I still can't believe it is finally coming together. Does anybody know how long it might be before my set of appointments? Orientation etc? I am on cloud 9. I can now relate to all of the other approved, but waiting for dates members. Thanks to all of you for the great group support and keep faith that it will "eventually" happen, hopefully in the very near future, to you!Hugs, Vickie in Sacramento

Guest guest
Hi Vicki, Congratulations on getting that all-important approval letter. It is one of the big hurdles on this path. I have no idea how fast things will move now. I know that Richmond added an additional case manager last month because things are really bustling there. Hope you get your orientation & consultation dates soon. All the best, Kay open RNY 12/1/03 noyesv wrote: I got the letter today, I have been assigned to Richmond.
