I had my follow up on 12/19Dr. Baggs took out my stitches and I had lost another 20 lbs for a total of 52!!. So far everything is easier than I expected. I still get a little tired but today I am back at work. I am eating fine, no nausea. I am drinking about 48 oz. of water and trying to get more in.I was pretty uncomfortable the first 4 days but on Sat everything started to get better.I would do this again in a minute. Congratulations, sounds like you're doing great! I love the thought of only being in the Richmond Hospital for overnite.kim42996 wrote:

Hi Kim,

Good goin'. Sounds like you are doing great!

I am just a few days ahead of you (surgery on 12/1/03, also with Dr.

Baggs) - and your experience sounds much like mine. I still get tired,

but every day seems to be a little better than before.

Just out of curiosity - if you don't mind my asking - what are you eating

these days? I kinda pushed the limits of the stage III food plan

and have included refried beans and split pea soup in my diet. I

hate cottage cheese and yogurt, so I wanted to include more variety in

my protein selections. Neither have given me any problems.

All the best,

Kay

Hi Carol,

Richmond definitely seems to want patients out ASAP. Seems like

everyone I talked to recently who was in Kaiser Richmond was released the

next day after surgery. I found it a bit scary to be released so

soon, but I was happy to get home.

Take care,

Kay
