Dagmar,

I've had improvements in mental functioning from chelating. When I first

figured out that mercury was my problem, I was having trouble with word-finding

in conversations and was having trouble even reading newspaper articles.

After having been a crossword puzzle fanatic and voracious reader most of my

life, it was very scary.

Although everyone on the list says not to chelate while still having

amalgams, my progress on getting my teeth fixed was so slow and I was so

impatient

and scared, that I went ahead with very small steps of chelating with helpful

foods, cilantro, garlic, eggs, turkey, yogurt, Vit. C, plus lots of work to

build myself up. Little by little word-finding got better and reading got

better. By the time I was done with the dental work, which took me 3 years, I

was

back to word puzzles, reading like usual, and feeling pretty sharp. With my

teeth all done, then I stepped up to DMSA and ALA and am awaiting getting my

energy and ambition back. Marcia
