Guest guest
Group: My Dad is 72 and had RA for about 35 years. I won't go into the details of what he went through as you are all too aware of what this terrible disease can do to a person's body. But there is a happy ending. He was always on the cutting edge of new ways to treat the ailment. Everything that came out over that 35 year period he tried, even if it was in the experimental stages. Just thinking about what he went through brings tears to my eyes. Several years ago the antibiotic theory came on to the scene. He of course was on top of it and was probably one of the first to try it. I am happy to report to you that after three years on the antibiotic program (Tetracyclines) his RA went into total remission. But please note he is not back to normal. A lot of the damage done by the RA could not be reversed. But at least it was stopped. And it was a long, drawn out process. So be patient if you have started this treatment. Don't expect overnight results or obsess about whether it is working or not. Trust in God that he will do what is right for you. Thank him for giving us this knowledge. And don't give up! Thanks for your help. Bill E.
