Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I went to see Bruce Springsteen in concert over 2 years ago. The arena had special handicapped areas and that's where I was. I had plenty of room to move around and stretch out my legs without having to worry about bumping into somebody. It was the best concert I've ever been too because nobody was pushing me around like other concerts. My suggestion is contact the arena and see if they can accommodate you. Love ya, Jen from upstate NY U2 concert I have been a fan of theirs for a long time...and now I have an opporunity to see them in concert in June...I avoided seeing them live for years cos they always had these huge shows with lights and stage props and crowds of peple...it was waaay tooo much sensory overload for me... But now they aren't playing stadiums...they are doing stripped down indoor arena shows and I have a chance for discounted reserved tickets...and wouldn't you know...the cheapest seats are closest to the stage...which is nice if you want to see the band up close and if you are in good health...but they are general admission...which means no seats...standing around for hours in a crowd (although U2 audiences don't go into crowd surfing and mosh pits...they are usually pretty nice) but still...standing for 2+ hours..getting bumped around by people (even if they are nice people) is giving me second thoughts...but when I think about...sitting around for two hours would be just as painful as standing around for two hours... My sister-in-law is encouraging me to go...she always thougth she would get a chance to see Elvis perform and messed around and never got around to it...then he died...so she thinks it would be worth it if I went to see them at least once...and since I'm getting this deal on the tickets I should go for it...some other friends with fibro are encouraging me to do the same... I did go see R.E.M. in concert about two years ago...and everything went fine but I had paid for an actual seat so I could sit down when things got to be too much. I was expecting to go into a pain flare the next day but nothing happened (part of that is I took pain pills before and during the concert ...that seemed to have helped...and I will do the same this time around) Should I stay or should I go? Should I shell out the extra money for an actual seat...I don't do things like this every often...and it would be a treat...and right now I'm feeling ok..but the concert isn't until June so who knows how I'll feel then....too bad we can't see into the future...
