TK--- try sticking with it, increasing dose gradually, how much depends on the content of the tablet and how you feel. Guest guest
Do you have a source for this notion? Many of us take very very high doses of digestive enzymes, such as HCl. If someone experiences difficulty simultaneous with taking HCl it's quite possible there is another issue such as undx's hiatal hernia or H.pylorii... Dr in NY has his patients on as much at 175 pills per day - many of them are digestive enzymes. I'm not one of his patients - I'd be interested in how many are HCl, how many are pancreatin, and so forth. You are probably already aware that achlorhydria is a notable risk factor for cancer of the digestive tract... .... > > > It is said if you have low stomach acid and take enzymes the enzymes can eat at the stomach lining also causing upset. >
Guest guest
Thanks, TK. Seems worth another try, as it's been 5 years since my last attempt. BTW, due to your frequent reminders to change one thing at a time, I am now keeping a list of issues/problems I want to address and possible solutions (supplements, diet changes, etc). I prioritize the list by what issues seem most important to address, and by my semi-educated guesses as to what is the safest, most likely solution. This helps me to be more careful and deliberate in making changes. Thanks for being so sensible and steadfast, and for your straightforward advice. -- > > > > > > > TK--- HCL needs to be added slowly in small increments to avoid > > > stomach upset for many people.
