Welcome back Tami & congratulations on your successful surgery!! As

for the hunger, I have heard of others having it right off the bat, but I

was lucky not to. Even with the tummy gurglings and all, I think it might

be head hunger. Your body is so use to you eating so much and/or so frequently

that it's been thrown for a loop. Also, it could just be regular digestive

gurgles. I'm 10 1/2 months out and my tummy is always making

gurgling noises. I don't even notice it anymore, but my husband will comment

on it occasionally - especially if we're watching a movie! Just don't fool

yourself into thinking that gurgles mean that it's time to eat!

Hugs,

Jen

Hey, all!

I Use to be TeeleeQ, now as you can see I am TQthinking. But I am

still Tami. I hoping to be thinner Tami to be sure.

I can't begin to tell you how glad I am that I am back online. All

it took was a brand new computer and of course the money to buy it. I was

trying to read all the old posts but, MY GOD! there are so many new members.

Shell, did you ever think when you started, it would get this big? I have

missed this group so much, I don't have words to describe it.

Thank you for trying to keep everyone updated. I want you

all to know that you meet the greatest people in this group. has

been invalualble to me. If it were not for her I would not have come out

of my panic attack and reconnected with San Diego to have this surgery.

I am beyond grateful that she did push me and that I did call. I feel great

after surgery except for a little ternderness at the incision but, I remember

this pain from an earlier surgery. Dr. Zorn and I had thought that I had

hernias but, once in he said he could not find any. Just a lot of adhesions

from the previous surgery. He removed as much as he could.

Now, I have a couple questions for the post-ops. Am I supposed to

be having hunger already. From the beginning getting down even a half teaspoon

of water was painful. I can now get about an ounce in at a time and I feel

the tightness I expected to feel but, I am also have the tummie grumblies

that always signaled hunger before. Am going crazy? Is this head hunger?

Help, I am bit worried. I won't dare try to do anything to mess up this

surgery and have stayed with water mostly. I have had one popsicle, Monday,

which I thought went down way too easy. I had about and eighth of a cup

of sugar free jello yesterday. I took about an half hour to consume it.

Was that long enough? Any help any of you can give me would be so appreciated.

Loving being back on,

Tami

It's great to see you back! I see your name up on the wall at Curves,

so I think of you often and have been wondering how you are doing.

Hey, you're a post-op! Seems like it took forever, but here you are.

It's fun to read about everyone's experiences and remember back to my

first days after surgery. I noticed no one talked about how fast you

should be eating yet, and I remember that they told me one ounce

should take 15 minutes to eat, so your 2 ounces in half an hour is

just right. Of course, this is only for now. As your tummy heals, you

will be able to eat a little more, a little faster.

If it hasn't been a couple hours since you've last eaten, you should

probably ignore the rumblings and just sip on some water. Take it

easy, follow the rules you've been hearing for the last several

months. Rest up and get back to Curves. And hang on tight -- the wild

ride has just begun! Surgery isn't the goal, it's only the beginning.

Yay, Tami!
