Guest guest
Dear Debbie & Norma, You probably have not seen my reply to Lucy's post yet, but I agreed with her regarding the " subject " of your most recent posts. I don't have a problem AT ALL about someone " keeping me in their prayers " , " Saying a prayer for me " , or saying " Godbless You " when I sneeze. The point " I " was trying to make is that the " SUBJECT " of the posts was not about FM/CFS, they seemed to be predominately religious in nature. In some cases I felt like I was in church listening to a sermon. That was my complaint! I appreciated the posts you both wrote that described your symptoms and the meds, exercises, Dr.s opinions, new treatments you were passing on, etc. Sorry you are leaving the group. Guest guest
Please I may be out of line with some of you .. But please noone leave the group because of your faith and prayer.. I am catholic and I am sure not everyone agrees with our ways(there are things that I do not even agree with) but I still feel as if the only person that has got me thru these horrible times is God and his prayer.. NOone leave ok.. I don't know what happenned because my mailbox was full and all emails weren't able to come thru (haven't been on line for a few days) but today I see two people that want to leave the group because of their faith and prayers.. That is wrong that anyone would even suggest that directly or indirectly that these people have overstepped their boundaries and felt unwelcomed here... We all need to believe in someone higher besides the venting of this group to get us thru this dd..... I myself appreciate everyone and anyone's prayers to help me get thru this.. If we can not speak our minds beyond the doctor's appts, test, bad days, than what is this group for>?> thank you for your time and hope all is well for everyone here. Guest guest
Debbie, There is no reason for you to leave the group. I also rely on prayer and faith to get me through life. Because this is a delicate topic we need to understand that not everyone shares our beliefs. Please stay. Guest guest
<< Debbie, There is no reason for you to leave the group. I also rely on prayer and faith to get me through life. Because this is a delicate topic we need to understand that not everyone shares our beliefs. Please stay. >> Hi all. I don't exactly know what your discussion is here, but from what I can tell, someone must have been upset by someone saying something about prayer or whatever. To me, it is just part of life that people will be offended by your religious beliefs...go on with life and say what you feel...Some people may be offended by a screen name (maybe even mine, because I love Chinese Pugs and the next guy may love Poodles) That's just simply a part of life. We are all diverse but obviously we or someone we love is struggling to deal with a common thing...that should bring us together as individuals and our other beliefs should not tear us apart. We're here to discuss our lives with FMS or CFS, not our religious views. If it were not for my God I would not be here at all, so my beliefs and my faith are an integral part of my life...that's just how it goes. I may not like the fact that there would be a person that writes to a group that happens to be homosexual, but if that is part of their life and they feel the need to speak of it, then so be it...I'll not interfere with their views and you do not interfere with mine on my faith.... Guest guest
I don't think it is moral or ethical to encourage a member to leave the group. If a person wants to recommend another group that is fine. Especially when that person has been getting along fine and all of a sudden, because of a " new " person, they want to leave all of a sudden. It is " OK " to belong and subscribe to more than one group.

I am Catholic and feel very strongly about God, but I felt very uncomfortable with her posts! I wish that we could just get past this and move on, it is not a big deal, but I think the problem is that Norma over did it or over killed it - I don't like God shoved down my throat in EVERY post!! Debbie G, I hope that you come back or stay in this group. I must have missed what happened, some of the emails must have not come, but I do think that you have never been out of line on here. I am sure most people believe in A God and there is nothing wrong with telling people that you care about them, so lets move on before this group looses all the supporting and caring people who have been here. I am not even sure what has started all this arguing in the first place, but it is making me upset that people are feeling that they need to leave due to all of it. I appreciate you setting me straight You made me think and I want to thank you! Some people take herbal alternatives for their FM and I do not agree with that for me, but do we hear " do not talk about alternative solutions " ? Norma's and many (including myself) involved God in their solution, and although I thought it was too much, I still should not have the right to sensor what she says or feels helps her, she was sharing her healing solutions with us. I think if you think of it that way maybe some people will not take offense. I have been a member of this group for a month or more, and we seem to have a group of us who " talk " regularly and some of them now what to leave, that is not right I thought this was a " family " network - all of us supporting eachother and listening. I really appreciate your taking time to email me back and making me think, yeah, I have a right to DELETE if I do not want to read, but others might and why take away their chance to find comfort and peace and maybe a solution to the FM pain and suffering!!!! Thanks Free Spirit. Sending Comfort and Peace Janice " I wish we could change our dials to AM instead of FM!!! "
Guest guest
: I am not sure to whom this is directed, but let it be clear that I did not start this issue, nor have I encouraged any to leave the group. I did mention to two people who (of their own accord) said they were leaving that I knew of a Christian group they could join. I never, and let me say never, encouraged any of the members to leave. My reasons for leaving have been expressed and let me make it clear again that I am not a person of strife, and as one called me self righteous...my righteousness what I have is in Almighty not myself. My leaving is soley so that I can be free to share and so that I do not divide or cause any strife in this group. I emplore you and the others to not place blame on an innocent person for something should have been addresss long ago, based on what I am hearing from others. If my leaving brings peace to the group than I am happy. I wish you all the very best and have no unforgiveness in my heart. And I ask you to take the same stance. I do not want to address this subject again. As I have already stated I want to remain on the message board for a few more days simply to obtain some of the nutritional information. I will not post any more message or cause you any more problems. Norma Louise Re: I am Gone Also > I don't think it is moral or ethical to encourage a member to leave the > group. I am in a lot of pain and I do my praying in private. I am on this list to get support for this pain and I pray to the Lord for his support. But not on this list. Guest guest
Irene, I agree 10 fold with your message. I certainly don't mind other's opinions, but from what I have read, this has become blown out of porportion. It's like TV, if you don't like the programming - change the channel. So, let's get over this and get back to the board I joined. I think we've truly lost our direction here. God luck to you all, Jo
