Thanks , I called the Dr. and he said to just discontinue it. Interestingly enough, I began with my "movements" once I stopped trying to take it-go figure? Yes, when I stepped on the scale today I was actually down a pound from the date of my surgery (1/12). I am still dealing with some discomfort but am transitioning to just liguid tylenol and trying to use less of the codiene.

Hi,I am 10 days out, had surgery on Jan 6. I think I know what medicine you are talking about, it is the stool softener, it burned my throat soo bad! The directions (on the included sheet, not on the bottle) say to mix it with 6 to 8 ounces of water, yea, that is easy for us to get down. What I did is just suffer through about two days of it, until I had my first movement (if you know what I mean). I was never weighed before surgery either, and I had to stress all through the holidays about it. I came home weighing more than on the day of surgery, but I am 14 pounds down from my surgery weight (I didn't step on the scale after the initial time for three days).Good luck to you!> Hi everyone! Another post-op question, when did you stop wearing the elastic wrap around "brace" they put on you? I finally stopped wearing it today, because it was killing my back and causing the incision to be more tender?Rosemary Wood wrote:

Do you mean the abdominal binder? With the exception of a trip to the

zoo and the airplane ride home, I stopped wearing mine when I got out of

the hospital.

Hugs,

Jen

Yes, that is what I meant -- thanks so much, I stopped wearing it a couple of days ago and am feeling better. So, now I know I am not doing a no-no. Jen Hogsett wrote:
