Guest guest
Pacific Bariatric uses a Tanita scale that calculates body fat. I've seen Tanitas at Bed Bath & Beyond for about $60 - not as upscale as the one PB uses, but it does work over 200 lbs. Hope this helps. Watching Oprah the other day they actually cut the stomach, seperating the pouch from the rest of the stomach, then staple the pouch and staple the stomach. Is this correct that they don't do this in Kaiser Richmond? They don't do the cutting they put 3 lines of staples to seperate the pouch from the rest of the stomach? Also I went to Target today and bought a bathroom scale that measures body fat. It works fine for my husband that weighs 175. But my body fat was too high and all I get is errors. Is there a brand out there that is working for anyone that weighs over 200?
Guest guest
I got my Tanitas scale that goes past 300 at Longs. It is also sold at Walgreens. They had it on sale at Costco during Christmas time but I am not sure if it is still there now. Guest guest
Hi, I just had surgery on Jan 6 at Richmond. They did separate my old stomach from my new pouch. I even asked Dr. Baggs that specific question and he confirmed it. In fact they gave me pictures of my insides and I have a picture of my new stomachless pouch. I believe a saw a body fat scale that goes up to 300 pounds at Linen & Things. Good luck to you! > I have a question for those of you that have had surgery at Richmond. Guest guest
That was what I was hoping someone would say. I was really worried about that part of the surgery. Thanks, Carol wrote: Hi, I just had surgery on Jan 6 at Richmond. They did separate my old stomach from my new pouch. I even asked Dr. Baggs that specific question and he confirmed it.
