³I used to get very concerned about if I was doing everything I could, if I

was doing enough, if I was missing something... etc... Ok-- now that I say

that -- those who saw me in tears at the conference this summer know that

it's not a feeling I'm " over " . It's just one that comes up less and less

frequently.²

, this sounds just like me....and probably every other parent on the

list:-) I wanted to share with you that at 22 years old, Andy wishes I

would back off a little too :-) He¹s been working full time for the last 6

months but decided to enroll in college again to take one class and get his

³feet wet² in Graphic Design before plunging in full time. I¹ve been trying

to be diplomatic and careful with my questions/coaching/advocacy in making

sure an interpreter and note-taker are lined up for the class, that he has

the right books and software and that he has introduced himself to his

teacher. The class begins next week and as it looms I¹m more nervous

wanting to make sure everything goes smoothly for him. As you can imagine,

a poorly qualified interpreter and note taker or one that doesn¹t show up,

is sometimes worse than not attending class at all.

Last night Andy signed to me, ³You worry too much, Mom, just chill a

little, everything will be fine².

:-) Maybe my ³job² is coming to an end???? :-)

There is light at the end of the tunnel!

That's awesome! I am sure that there will come a time -- soon -- when Aubrie

will feel the same way. She will surely be independent of me one day.

I agree, MOM and WORRY are the same thing. My kids are 19 and 24 and I

still worry.
