Guest guest
Gloria: You have a big mind and a big heart. I find that very healing. Only uncensored notes are reflective of the individuals in our group, of their real concerns, of their emotional states and of their personalities. Anything less is false, boring and useless. Personal criticism and intolerance occasionally disrupt this group's communications, and perhaps that shouldn't be surprising, considering that our illnesses make us particularly subject to depression which so often is expressed as hostility and negative judgments of others. My own tolerance is most severely taxed when people make sarcastic or belittling remarks in the guise of defending or promoting their belief systems. This is obviously defense of one's ego, not one's faith, and it poorly serves the faith. At the same time, I am grateful for the helpful information and insights offered by the very people who have, on occasion, disappointed me in this way. This is really an amazing group of people. There's enough talent, intelligence, wisdom and courage in this group to save the whole planet. Miracles are happening here because forces of goodness are at work within people who have come together to help each other. I think that there is more to be lost than gained by unnecessary regulation of members' communications. Expressions of disagreement are healthy. Disrespect and sarcasm are psychic bullets intended to harm. That's unworthy of this group, and I believe it has already done some damage. Those bullets ricochet around and make this forum feel less safe and accepting than it was before. I fear we could lose people as a result of their discomfort or disgust, and that would be a real shame. I only wish it were as easy to be tolerant as it is to ask tolerance of others! Guest guest
That is a beautiful letter, Ann. Now let's all go forward with acceptance and the delete key. We all have a big job to do. Now, on to business. I was in a health food store yesterday that makes juiced drinks. They have a powdered form of wheat grass there to add to the drinks. What do you think of wheat grass in general and also of the powdered form? I was told one bit of the wheat grass is like a pound of veggies so was most interested to know what you guys think. Would this be the same as eating WHEAT in bread? :>) annkhartley@... wrote: > Gloria: > You have a big mind and a big heart. I find that very healing.
