Guest guest
Before I had my wisdom teeth pulled, I had constant sinus problems. After they were pulled, my sinuses drained - yuck, I know! - and I was great for a long time after. (LIke a couple of years!!!) My oral surgeon said that because my sinuses cleared I had less pressure build up which can make your jaws hurt/ache. I also know now when I call the doctor for a sinus infection, he doesn't even need to see me to prescribe an antibiotic if I tell him my face, teeth and jaw hurt. And, boy, do they! When I now have a sinus infection, I can sometimes barely stand to brush my teeth because the pressure is so bad. (Sometimes I wish I had the wisdom teeth back, just to have them out and clear up the sinuses for a while - how sick is that?!) Re: Family Crisis Intervention My dentist says that my jaw pain is from sinus problems. I've never heard of this before. I know that sinus ills can show up as teeth pain, but jaw? Please, please let me know what you experienced. Thanks. Martha Membership of this email support groups does not constitute membership in the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation. Guest guest
I just replied to Kim, but I must add this to you as well. I just cannot get over sinus stuff hurting the jaw. Get on-line and check. The " maps " of our faces do NOT mention the jaw. My delightful dentist thinks this whole thing very funny. I no longer do. Moreover, it really acts up after/during a plane flight, and we have this constantly taking back and forth to Perkins. Does this make sense to anyone? Martha (Note: I really appreciate your posts; I no longer feel nuts!)
Guest guest
Thanks to everyone who's written on the sinus, TMJ, pain issue. I had no idea at all that so many others experienced this horror. I can't wait to tell my dentist to stop laughing I like him very much, but I don't plan to be polite! Martha
Guest guest
Kim: I hate pain as much as anybody, but I can't stand the thought of not having sugar in my strong coffee. Ugh. Perhaps I'm addiction prone...Must finish packing for our trek back to Perkins. Martha
