Guest guest
Bonnie, Best Wishes as you life changes. You and yours will be in my prayers. Lynn moving day today! Today we are moving our belongings into our new home in MA. What excitement! We have lived in this house for almost 15 years so I have had to pack a lifetime away. There were tons of things that we actually have had to throw away or donate. I never knew how much unnecessary things I have saved throughout the years. Even with all that there are still well over 60 boxes. But in looking back it is amazing how far we all have come, especially Patty. I found her heart monitor, her baby spoon she used for years, even her baby bottle which was only 2 cc's. I remember feeding her that every two hours! We chose this house for the children because it had a large fenced in back yard. When we first moved in Patty was about four. She couldn't walk up the incline of the driveway or without assistance in the back yard, her speech was unintelligible, she had many surgeries to go, she was bused to a school over an hour away, oh and so much more. But look at her now! I am amazed we are planning our lives without having her constantly in it. She has her own life dreams now. Good for her! I am able to let her dream for herself which is even more wonderful. With this move I will be living with my mother temporarily so wish me luck. I am 42 and set in my own ways now. Kris has to stay here as well until she goes back to school because of work. But hey, that's only a week away. Wish us all luck. Take care and Happy New Year. Bonnie, Mom to a 21 and sleeping, Patty CHARGE at the National Helen Keller Center and learning tons, and wife to who is still going for his daily walk this morning even though we are going to be moving. I don't exercise so today is going to be tough on my poor old muscles!
Guest guest
Bonnie, It sounds fun to start the new year out in a new home. I hope your commuting goes well and smoothly each week. Maybe the drive time will provide time to listen to music or think and reflect about your week. Two years ago my husband worked in a different state for one year. The distance was about 1000 miles. He flew home fairly often, and the year passed relatively quickly. It was necessary, just as it is in your case, to commute in this way. It worked out and now we look back at it as a time that wasn't our first choice, but it worked okay. Best wishes for much happiness in your new home. Re: moving day today!
