Hi ,

It was great to read your e-mail and to read the things you did to

help yourself. Thanks for giving me the link to the Hallelujah diet.

I do get sore throats very often and feel like I have a virus and

consequently am in bed for sometimes weeks at a time. However it is

possible to have CFS without having sore throats, a lot of people

have overwelming fatigue, especially after any exertion, irritable

bowel syndrome, allergies, tinnitus, sensitivity to light and sound,

and unrestorative sleep (to name a few symptoms, the list goes on and

on).

I don't know how my new doc came to the conclusion that I had

Fibro/CFS and FMS. He did a thorough examination and I certainly

had most of the trigger points for Fibro. He also read through my

past history all the specialists I had seen and what conclusion they

had come to. I had respiratory infections throughout my childhood

and twenties and thirties, and then I stopped getting a temperature

with them that's probably when I became hypo.

Fee (hello Fee) in this group recommended that I read 2 books by

Shomon she has read thousands of medical articles regarding Thyroid

illnesses, Fibro, CFS & FMS as she has these conditions herself. So

many of the symptoms of these illnesses overlap.

Her first book is called " Living well with Hypothyroidism What your

docotor doesn't tell you...That you need to know by J Shomon

printed by Quill. Her second book is called

" Living well with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromalgia What your

doctor doesn't tell you...that you need to know.

She does write clearly and gives advise for the reader to develop

their own recovery plan.

Oh boy I know that feeling of not being able to pull wet towels out

of the washing machine, I cannot get them out and put them on the

clothes horse to dry (my partner does that). I can manage knickers!

Your tendonitis in your elbows might be a sign of fibro as one of the

trigger points is 2 centimeters below side bone at elbow of left and

right arms.

My cortisol tested normal also. However, my DHEA levels shot up at

night. The reference range was 1-4 and mine at midnight were 14. My

doc said this was a marker of chronic stress/chronic illness. And I

have been taking Adrenal Support in the form of adrenal bovine issue.

I feel far less stressed then I used to be.

You are so right about what you say regarding detoxifying the body.

My reference to altered finger marks was another phenomena that some

people with CFS/Fibro have. If I was to make a finger print it would

look very different from other peoples I notice that the tips aren't

as full as other peoples. That is just a little thing, but I wonder

why I have it.

Mornings are horrendous for me, I wake up and I feel as if I have

drunk a bottle of whiskey and had a night on the town. I feel so

hungover, the brain fog is awful.

Still I am confident that I will feel loads better when I have

switched from Synthroid to Armour.

I wish you well too and everyone in this group.

love Caroline in North London (UK)
