Mercola site has a fish oil they claim is mercury free. I have no reason to

doubt it but have not ordered it. If my rapid pulse and faint episode was

mercury poisioning this week, then I may try them. But that is a big IF. But one

of the first things my doctor thought of. Fish everyday and once I had it e

times. G

I don't know if processed fish oil is the same as fish, though. Maybe I'll call

the manufacturer and find out. I'll let you know what they tell me.

Re: Question re: Fish Oils

My Dr told me today not to have fish more than twice a week because of the

mercury. G

OK, this is just second hand information and should be treated as such.

According to my doctor, one derives far more benefit from fish oil than from

flax oil. I didn't ask what those added benefits were or how he knew, but the

next time I see him, I'll be sure to ask those questions. I'd MUCH rather take

flax oil because I detest fish. There is no fish or seafood that I like. None.

So, the fish oil pills are really sickening to me about half an hour after I

take them. Bleehhcchhh!

Re: Question re: Fish Oils

From the information I have flax seed oil is just as rich in the

omega 3 oils and even if it has less so that I had to take more of it

I would still do it. I don't know about the mercury content. Flax

has no mercury and no aftertaste.
