Guest guest
- just to clarify I was talking about the use of oral creams to treat a yeast infection, not a bladder infection. However I had an awful bladder infection for about four months. I had pain in my stomach before and had never felt the symptoms of bladder infection before so it went untreated for a while. Then I had allergic reaction after allergic reaction to the medication and the only one that worked for me was Macrobid, which also worked for my mom (I requested it specially!). The only thing I know of that can prevent bladder infections is to add a lot of yoghurt and cranberry juice to your diet. Some people also say garlic and oregano pills are good. But a pharmacist here in Toronto recently told me that these things are only good before the infection occurs. If you already have an infection, they no longer have any effect- they are only preventative. A lot of people will spend $$ on this stuff while they have an infection when really it's not doing anything. So once you get rid of a bladder infection, these things will help it from recurring. Have you ever thought of trying to order some treatments (especially supplements or basic treatments) online? I haven't done that but it's just an idea. ps- I'm moving to your side of the country next September for an internship at CTV Hopefully my problems are gone by then. If they aren't maybe you'll be able to refer me to a doctor in that area.
