Hey, all, I remember there was some discussion of your various Insurance

plans and who you liked and who you didn't. I have a good friend whose plan

will expire at the end of the month. She had to pay nearly $500 premium for

it (and, no, she's not diabetic (though I think she will be eventually),

doesn't smoke, her cholesterol is fine, etc). She'd like to find a company

that charges less per month. She's not eligible for medicare for several

years yet. In any event, I said I'd ask here because so many of you have

done the shopping for good companies.

There's a Kaiser plan in SoCal that's less than $300/mo. depending on

how much you want to spend on deduct/co-pay.

Thanks, Carol. Maybe I should have mentioned that my friend is

self-employed and lives in Michigan.

Oh, well - maybe, but what the heck - somebody else might use the info.

I guess Kaiser isn't everywhere? Does your friend have a business

association she can join to get group ins.???? If female there's an

association called Women in Business or Women Business Owners or

something like that and last I looked they did have a group insurance plan.
