I use nuts as a snack. Great with a couple of slices of cheese,or, half

an apple. I also add soy nuts to salads, veggies, or, just a handfull.

I really like soy nuts!

I can't eat soy nuts because I'm hypothyroid, but I don't care for them

anyway. I love regular nuts, though... almonds, macademia, pecans, and

cashews. At Christmas, I bought a can of shelled walnuts, by Diamond, and

they were great :-) I love walnuts, but hate messing with cracking the

nuts. I also found a bag of shelled pistachios at SAM's Club that are very

good... great for a snack, with a bottle of 's orange cream soda.

Mmm.....

What's this about no soy nuts if you're hypothyroid? I'm hypothyroid

and while I don't eat a lot of soy products, I do now and again and

certainly have in the 30+ years I've been hypothyroid. . Is there some

prohibition I don't know about? And if so, what is the result of eating

soy supposed to be? (Or is this just limited to soynuts?)

Soy is thyroid-suppressive. Here's the longer story:
