Guest guest
That 103 is a quite wonderful number. If you don't feel well, it probably doesn't have anything to do with your BG. You may be coming down with a cold (although usually if you're coming down with a cold, BGs will be unaccountably high)... or maybe you're just plain tired. You can't blame diabetes for everything that's wrong, smile. What do you feel like when you have high BGs? The idea behind testing is that it will tell you definitively what your BG is, without depending on the way we " feel " . The way we " feel " often has little connection with where our BGs actually are. For myself, I can feel the same at 250 as I do at 75. That's one of the reasons why I test about 10 times a day. Guest guest
Pat, Did you test at 1 hour after? Next time you have this meal, try that. You might find that you spiked high, had an insulin dump, and are now nice and low. Guest guest
Also that spike & reactive low will leave a dragged out feeling. When eating pizza it is a good to do a " true " test at least once. test before eating & every 15 min till it spikes & then starts to go back down & continue every 30 min till it goes back up. You might be surprised at what you discover. I found no peak for at least 3 hrs & then a 2nd peak at 5 hrs. Not good for me at all. cappie Greater Boston Area T-2 10/02 9/04 A1c: 5.3 max 100 carb diet, walking, Metformin. At least that is what happens to me......<grin> Ressy
