I put my daughter out of my house and had nothing to do with her for 5 years

expecting her to learn and grow up. It did not work she managed to get in

trouble with the local police " told them was so glad they were not Martians "

had to sell her car to hire a lawyer to get out of the trouble. Lost her job,

lost her apartment, took up with a fellow who beat her up etc.

She finally took a job a Penney's and convinced me she was trying to put her

life back together. Of course her health collapsed and she has been on workmen

comp for 18 months. We spend most of the day Dec 23 applying for Social

Security disability or SSI which even she can get. She will admit she suffers

from depression now and is taking medicine which is helping her coupe. The

screaming and the rages are much better. I treat her as a child and things are

better between us. My younger daughter was amassed at my control today with her

behavior. I said I have excepted that she is not as old mentally as my 10 year

old granddaughter and things are better. With my lower expectations from her I

do not become disappointed with her behavior. She seems to listen to me more

now. She is 43 years old. She is not retarded but very immature, very

childlike in her behavior. My son in law wants her to have a boy friend. My 10

year old granddaughter said she was afraid for her to have another boy friend

and my daughter said she too was afraid to have one.

I do my best to take it one day at a time with her. She says she wants a

job but I said where can you work when you can not stay awake 8 hours without

your naps?
