Guest guest
Dr. Nase, I can't tell you how much we appreciate your advice and support. This condition is very frustrating and the lack of effective guidance from many of our dermatologists makes one feel like going postal. By the way, I can't tell you how jealous I am that you can play full court basketball in 90 degree weather for three hours. That is so cool! Anyway, my rosacea isn't too bad-redness on nose and cheeks, some seb derm, but hardly any acne (at least not yet). However, I do so much want to live a normal life. The sun and heat really affect my face, even with sunscreen, and I work outside often. It's starting to drive me a little crazy. I want to try photoderm, but I am worried it may not work on my skin type. I am one of those odd cases of rosacea that does not have fair skin. My skin type is medium bordering on light olive in the summer. I haven't found a really experienced photoderm doc in New York, but I am willing to fly somewhere else. Before I get on a plane though, I was wondering if this is even an effective treatment option for me. Do you know of people with medium to light olive skin tones that have been successfully treated with photoderm? I have called a couple of clinics and they tend to be vague. Your input would be very appreciated. Thanks. Nanette
