DMSA, dosing of 200mg, 3x a day ?

Hello,

I was using oral DMPS and became allergic to it....my Hg Detox Dr.

said I can try DMSA, the protocal he uses is 200mg, 3 times a day...1

week on, 1 week off or 4 on, 10 off.

Has anyone ever heard of this dosing strength and schedule?

If so, how did you do on it?

I told him, I think I would rather try Cutler's protocal of starting

with smaller doses at 25-50 mg every 4hrs. 1 week on, 1week off

He said the smaller doses probably won't give me the brain clarity

that I had with the DMPS, he thinks one is more likely to experience

clarity with these higher doses.

According to Andy, DMSA or DMPS do not cross the BBB, so his comments on

" brain clarity " would be irrelivant when using these 2 chelators...

Thanks for your reply. I was on DMPS and found my brain to feel

clearer, because it removes the Hg from and Hg in the blood can still

give you many symptoms.

This is a very bad protocol and very likely to make you much worse.

Using chelation agents infrequently in large doses like this

redistributes more Hg into the brain, organs and cause more side

effects.

--- Are you sure you are actually became alergic to it or are you

just having side effects from chelation with it which is common ?

and redistribution.

--- This may be true as there are differences between the two drugs,

their effects and how you would be using them. But as has been

mentioned neither pass the BBB and don't remove Hg from the brain.

side effects - brain fog, fatigue etc.....
