Guest guest
Amen, Amen, Amen! Blessings, Debbie K. Re: GOOD NEWS!!! >I really want to make the armour work for me if I can. , let that sentence be your fighting mantra. I remember one gal in particular who came onto this site, tried Armour, felt she had problems, and then went back to T4, and left this site. I see her on other sites, and she continues to have problems related to being on a T4-only med...all the while thinking her problems are due to other " unknown " reasons. They are not. Stay with your commitment to make Armour work for you. It is VERY worth it. Janie
Guest guest
, many of us feel lousy when we first start on thyroid meds period! I did for about 6 weeks. I also found I had ferritin and aldosterone issues. Long term non treatment leaves a bit of a healing time needed once you start the meds. Did the dex pill make you feel better the next day? Re: GOOD NEWS!!! Hi , Just a reminder. Synthroid is 100% T4. T4 is the storage hormone and takes 4-8 weeks to build up in your blood stream. So if you start taking it next week you won't really feel anything for 4 - 8 weeks. The rule of thumb is to go in for another blood test 6 - 8 weeks after you change your dose/medication. You can try Synthroid while you are waiting to see Dr Wolliner. Louise > > > He said that he feels that I should try synthroid since I did so > poorly on the armour. Guest guest
that is smart of you to wait if you can on taking any meds. I am so sensitive to meds, I have to baby dose for two weeks or longer then increase! Re: GOOD NEWS!!! Jamy, No, the dex pill did nothing to me much to my surprise. I am glad to know that one has to get used to the armour and you just have to bite the bullet and slowly improve. When I started the armour for those 6 days I felt realy lousy. But I will be seeing Dr. Woliner on the 9th and I know that I will be in good hands. I will mention the Ferritin and aldosterone issues. I am pretty sure my aldosterone was normal on one of my recent tests. I have decided it is foolish to start the synthroid that the other doc prescribed since I will be seeing the new doc on the 9th. i don't want to through off my test results by taking the baby dose of synthroid. gary > > > > > > He said that he feels that I should try synthroid since I did so > > poorly on the armour. Guest guest
, I'm eager to hear how your appointment goes! in Va. ----- , Hopefully the doc will have a plan for me. Right now I am taking no thyroid because I can't seem to tolerate it. My appointment is Aug 9th.
