Yes. If she is still having symptoms with the T4 only med, she should try

Armour.

Hi Duane. Sorry to hear about your wife's frustrations!! Many of us

certainly identify...having been there once upon a time.

Duane, there is an imporant reason that this group is called Natural

Thyroid Hormones....because the vast majority of us were on

Synthroid (or other T4-only meds), and they didn't do the job,

whether in a minor way, or like myself, in a MAJOR way.

Also, there are many wise folks here who come on having just been

diagnosed, and they get immediately on Armour and never have to go

through what we went through! They are VERY lucky!

I personally would get Armour over generic. There's nothing wrong

with generic and some here are on it and do wonderful. But if you

can get Armour just as easily, Armour is tried and true.

If your wife chooses to self-medicate, at least have her do an

adrenal test and Ferritin test. There are labs listed in the LINKS

section which she can use without a prescription.

Some, like myself, never needed to be on adrenal support. Armour

fixed my horrific adrenal reactions that occured while on Synthroid.

Others feel they definitely DO need adrenal support and report great

benefits.

Additionally, if her Ferritin is low, she may get to a point on her

Armour where she can't raise very high without getting hyper-like

symptoms. Some mistakenly think they have an adrenal problem, when,

in actuality, it turns out to be a low Ferritin problem.

Hope that helps, and do not hesitate to seek more information if we

can help!

Janie in cool Colorado--Colorado Springs got 3 " of rain tonite!!

Flash flood warnings everywhere.

Armour thyroid purchased by mail from My RX For Less. Is this a

reasonable idea for her to self medicate?
