Dawn,

I am so sorry they had to put Daisy down... it does sound like something happened to her that changed her personality, and a brain tumor would do that.

I know how sad you must be. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hugs,

Jo

Good Friday Morning To All Of You,

Laurie, welcome home again. I am so glad that your back is feeling

better. Welcome Home also to all of our new friends. This is a wonderful

group and you will hopefully be able to find the information and support

you need here. To all of you who are having a rough time right now, I just

wish there was something that I could do but, please know at the very least

I am here if you need me. In closing, I want to share a tiny bit of

saddness with you all and this is my reason for not coming back on here to

share " A good night and sweet dreams, " with you last evening. It was about

four p.m. yesterday that I received an e-mail from our friends who owned

Daisy the dog that were allowed to keep her after her two attackes on other

dogs. Well, the Gentleman of the house e-mailed me to let me know Daisy

was gone. Wednesday night, the Lady of the house was taking Daisy for a

walk. Now just to refreash your memory, when our friends got Daisy back

they were told when she was out in the Community, she had to be not only

wearing a strong leash but, also a muzzle. On this particular walk, she

did have BOTH of these things on her. Well, a few door away from her,

there was a dog barking out in the front yard. Daisy, as you may remember

was sixty pounds. She somehow broke her leash and ran over to the other

dog, still wearing the muzzle. Daisy and the other dog were banging heads

together but, the other dog was very gentle and obviously not putting up a

fight as He/She was not being bitten YET. Well, the woman who owned the

other dog, ran out of the house and in an attempt to grab Daisy, grabbed

her muzzle by accident and off it came. She (Daisy) immediately bit the

other dog severely but, did not kill it. She also apparently bit the lady

who owned the other dog. It was decided then, yes I am cutting the story

back, to have Daisy put to sleep. The Animal Control Woman who put her

down said she was a wonderful dog with probably a brain tumor or some

chemical embalance because as of last Summer she was playing in the local

dog park with a lot of her friends. I know a lot about dogs and this reaks

of a brain tumor. Needless to say, I am in a daze. I hope each and every

one of you find a reason to smile today and by the end of this day, I am

sure I will too. Happy Friday and weekend all of you. Thank you so much

for allowing me the time to share with you what has transpired since my

last note. Sincerely, Dawn

dawn.

So sorry to hear the news regarding Daisy. It probably was better for her. I

always hate to hear that some animal has to be put down. But after working at

our local humane shelter I can see that sometimes the animal is better off. I

know the emotions that you are experiencing I have been there with 2 of my own

animals.

Soft hugs

Laurie
