Guest guest
I have always had multiple dogs here. When my kennel was running full tilt, there would be anywhere from 9 to 20+ dogs here. Taking the dogs to the vet was always a job. So to make things easier and cheaper, I would take 3-6 dogs to the vet at one time as my vet would give me a discount if I brought in multiple dogs for yearly shots. One truly hectic day, in between training and getting dogs out to handlers, I had to take 6 of the Belgians in for shots. Belgians are high energy, helter skelter, happy go lucky dogs. They are a trip to take on an outing in groups. So I load up the six identical jet black dogs in the van and away we go. Two of the dogs were slated for mobility assistance work and needed to be neutered. After making sure each dog got their shots and nobody got double the dose, I loaded up 4 of the rambunctious dogs and headed back home, leaving the two males to be neutered. When I got home, my kennel boy at the time met me at the door laughing his head off. The vet's office had called to verify orders. Seems instead of leaving the two males, I had left one male and one female who was already spayed. I have yet to live down that fiasco! Brain fog .. or vet tech error .. it didn't matter .. it was still funny!! (Picture included is of Dakota, one of my Belgians. She is the designated desk troll as she lives under my computer desk!) hugs..
