Guest guest Posted April 26, 2003 Report Share Posted April 26, 2003 , actually, we took the boys out to see their mom today. She dropped a lovely bombshell on us. We were visiting about the boys and she mentioned that she got a letter from baby Keyone's dad and that he was angry that he didn't know the boys were in state care. I guess he is in jail until July, but I told her that they would have found him for sure in jail when they did a search and then she tells me,,,,,, are you ready for this one???? Oh, I didn't tell them about this guy because he really is Keyone's father and he is only nineteen and has been in and out of jail alot. So apparently, this guy is saying that he wants his baby or his parents will take him. I told that it is to the point where I just get up every day and tell myself that they are going to leave some day. That is the only way that I can get through this I think without having a complete breakdown. I just know that we are going to get crushed in the end, and that isn't as bad as what will become of the boys. Anyway we have an appointment this week to get a bonding and attachment test done, and then we have a case plan staffing a few days after that and I think the caseworker is going to recommend that they let one of the mom's friends take gaurdianship of the kids until their mom gets out. I just got done telling my caseworker the other day how it irritates me that we get to clean up an irresponsible adults actions and the foster parents get treated like crap! Real parents keep their butts out of jail! Duh! That's a no brainer! I still deal with hill billys and thier ideas......if your life gets busy, pass the kid around till you can take him back in.
