Guest guest
Does anyone know where is the best place for a person in the UK to have the hair analysis done? Is it best to send the hair to doctor's data or is there a UK equivalent (so that Andy's counting rules can be applied). Thanks.
Guest guest
Great Smokies Labs in the US .. represented by ... Diagnostic services Ltd here in the UK do it about £53 you have to have some kind of healthcare professional Osteopath, Dentist, Nutritionist etc. order it but you could check to make doubly sure .. they might relent if you asked them nicely and promised not to run down the street screaming 'oh my god I am going to die' when you get the result.. I told them I already had a result and that this was just a double check to make sure.. By the way... I did this test and it was negative for everything... I did the Urine tests.. taking DMSA as a provocation (as you should.. to help the excretion so you get a positive sample) if the metals are present.. and the result was positive and so were the faecal results... so for my money this hair sample testing is rather hit and miss, sometimes seems to correlate to the urine samples.. as in my friend's case but for me it was totally useless.. I guess I just do not excrete metals out of my hair.. so think about this route of testing.. you could waste this money... and still not know where you stand. If you can't get the test ordered or any other test. I am a nutrtionist and I will order it on your behalf if you would like.. Jane tel. Guest guest
Andy's counting rules are for DDI hair elements tests, not for Great Smokies.
