I had a fatty tissue lump removed from my shoulder area...and that's also

what the one was in my breast (two of them actually). Maybe hypo makes the fat

pool into lumps? :(

That's good to know Cris. I have a fatty tissue lump on my leg. I

never thought of that. I feel better....

They decided that it is fatty tissue. It felt and acted like cancer, so

they said. I have a lot of the fibrous lumps, and this one was

different.

this is true - I've had ultrasounds, after mamograms. I have an obvious lump it

didn't show up on the mamogram, but it can be felt. They did the ultrasound on

it. They decided that it is fatty tissue. It felt and acted like cancer, so they

said. I have a lot of the fibrous lumps, and this one was different. It is still

here. the ultrasound was not invasive like the biopsy. they would have done that

next.

I can understand your reasoning. I have never thought mammograms were good

things. But that's another topic.

When I had a breast lump...they first tried to aspirate it...since it was not

fluid filled, they recommended biopsy. Before they did that, they did an

ultrasound on it. That is a bit more expensive than the mammo I think...but

doesn't put any pressure on the lump like a mammo would.

I think women have to speak up for their own health. Tell your doctor how

you feel. Ask for an ultrasound instead. i think they actually can tell more

that way.
