Hi, I'm on a couple of other lists as well. I have been on Atkins for about

a year. I started at 425, am now 330 and have been stalled there for a few

months. I'm a 38- year old biochemist, I live alone except for a great dog.

Hi Sue and Everyone else,

I have been on the Atkins diet since May 1 and have lost 56 lbs.

I seem to have slowed down latley but feel so good I can be

patient. I would like to loose another 40 or 50 lbs.

This has been the only diet that has ever worked for me!

Do the vitamins help with the weight loss?

Just tried a new treat. I put two tab. of

heavy cream in diet root beer and it tasted like a float!

Hi, everyone. I'm new here.

protein program yet. I'm gathering all the info I can right now.

I've been following a vegan eating regimen for the past 12 years (no meat,

no fish, no chicken, no diary, no eggs). I know it's going to be triple

hard to do a low carb program and be a vegan as well, but I going to give it

a shot. I've tried for many years to lose 40 pounds to no avail! It never

dawned on me that the vegan weigh (excuse the pun) of eating was actually

causing me to gain weight because I'm carbohydrate sensitive.

Great to meet everyone!

Dee and Kristi --

Welcome to the list; I'm fairly new myself. almost three weeks now. I

noticed that you both wrote that you were decaffeinating, and that you both

have headaches. Even if you're going slowly, if you have a caffeine

headache, you might not be going slowly enough. About 12 years ago I tried

to stop caffeine cold turkey (now that was a huge and painful mistake).

About a month after that I weaned myself very slowly off caffeine -- I had

about a half cup less coffee each day and replaced the coffee with water (any

non-caffeinated fluid will do). No headaches, phew. Now I only use caffeine

medicinally.

Here's to your continued and headache free success!

Dear Ree --

I apologize for misspelling your name on my earlier post. I can't type worth

a darn, and my spellchecker isn't smart enough to know names. Apparently,

neither am I.

Welcome and my apologies for bad typing and bad proofreading.

I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge-

I believe that dreams are more powerful than facts-

That hope always triumphs over experience-

That laughter is the only cure for grief.

And I believe that love is stronger than death.
