Guest guest
Hey Dr. Nase, Hopefully you are reading this right now. I am a 22 white male who recently (1 yr) has been experiencing " Flare-ups " in the cheek area. I was told by a Derm when going in for an unrelated reason that I probably have slight cea. He gave me Metrogel of course which burned. I stopped using it shortly. I purchased the cea-Ltd discs with limited success also. I currently don't use any topicals and just wash my face with Cetaphil bar soap. I still experience these flare-ups and there is a burning sensation most the time. I can tell it is slowly getting worse and now becoming somewhat of a mental issue for me. I am seriously thinking about the PhotoDerm treatment. I've heard it alleviates the burning and significantly reduces these flare-ups. I also heard that it is a good idea to do it before the cea gets worse. I have none of the acne like bumps associated, only redness in the cheeks at times. I am in contact with Sue Kovak in Mpls, MN. She doesn't have the most experience (only over 100 patients) with the PhotoDerm procedure but I think I am going to go in for a consultation. What would you suggest? Is this a good alternative and ?will it help someone in my position? I've heard mostly positive things about PhotoDerm. Also, what are the side-effects of this? I haven't heard of any long-term effects and was wondering if there were any. Since I'm only 22 I would have o know his before having it done. Hope to hear from you. Thanks so much. -
