Guest guest
I am currently on 4 grains Armour and 25MCG Cytomel. I also take 25 MG DHEA, 50MG Pregnenolone, Progesterone Cream, and recently started 20 MG Hydrocortisone. I do split my Armour dosage, but not evenly. I take the biggest share in the AM. Pre-hydrocortisone, I was up to 4.5 grains Armour, but was having some slight hyper symptoms so I backed it off a little. The best thing for me was the additional T3! I just started that about a year ago (I think) when I had my last blood work done. My doctor wanted ot cut my Armour then (he says I will never feel well on that out dated product anyway!) as my TSH was very suppressed at .01 but my Free T3 was below range and my Free T4 just barely in range. SO I told him I felt great and went home & ordered Cytomel. He would have a cow if he knew how much thyroid I really take, but that's MY business. Guest guest
Hi and , What amazes me is that in 's case, her inability to convert T4 to T3 shows neatly up in her bloodwork. After her explanation, I can fully understand that she feels better with the added Cytomel. When I myself was on T4 only and later with added Cytomel, I wonder if I could not use both of them, since my Ft4 and Ft3 levels were always low, despite raising my meds. My TSH would go under 0.01 though. So, I'm thinking that I did have a 'conversion problem' of some kind, but besides that, the synthetic meds did not give me something that Armour does give me. I assume now that there is much more to it than the conversion problem alone. It is probably the entire synergetic aspect of all the 'ingrediƫnts' in Armour that do the trick. I think that Armour has much more advantages. However, I wonder if some people can not deal with the higher T3 from Armour. I have my Ft3 over the top now, and I wonder if I again do not feel right because of that. How many people feel well with their high T3's? And how far is it over the range? I really would like to learn more about it. Please let me know! I have added back 0.012.5 T4. I take this together with 3 & 1/4 grains Armour. I THINK that I do have hyper AND hypo symptoms like I used to have. But I'm not even sure if I analyse well. It drives me nuts. I do sometimes get hysterical over doctors, however, I can understand that they are confused as well .......
