Guest guest
Cappie I think I will try this, not because of LC but because it sounds really really good. Do you use the same amount of seasonings as with the bread stuffing? Thanks Jan Haney Those not comfortable with making/eating s bread stuffing might want to consider a meat stuffing instead. Guest guest
Alas, much of my great-grandmother's specialties (Her coconut macaroons and her fig preserves) are now lost because she didn't write them down. I can sympathize with your SIL. Guest guest
BTW we are not great turkey lovers in my family & once a year is quite enough so we used to always have a crown roast of pork for Christmass which is perfect because you can still have stuffing! Just place the stuffing in the center before roasting & yummmmm. cappie Greater Boston Area T-2 10/02 9/04 A1c: 5.3 max 100 carb diet, walking, Metformin. Guest guest
Oops forgot to say if using with a pork roast use ground pork in the basic recipe rather than ground turkey. Usually the crown roast comes with the extra pork gound up & placed in the center--I use that to make the stuffing. One can also lower the amount of sausage meat used & up the veal if you want. cappie Greater Boston Area T-2 10/02 9/04 A1c: 5.3 max 100 carb diet, walking, Metformin.
