YIKES! For that price, they would have to last me until the day I died!!!!!

Any other ideas in the cheap, cheap price range? Like less than $25????

Before you order that first pair off of QVC or online, learn about

the shoes and what may work best for you.

I will say the ones you get on QVC are much cheaper than the ones

you get from the catalog, online, or retailer. However, at a

retailer they can fit you perfect because in the stores they come in

German sizes. Example: I wear a 37 Narrow.

At QVC they dont offer Narrow or Wider widths. Believe me, I love

QVC and buy things from them often but not my shoes. I have to try

them before I buy them.

The store I go to lets you take them home for up to 10 days and wear

them around the house so that if they arent comfy, you can return

them even if they are ordered.

You have to learn about the different footbeds they offer. Some

shoes at the stores can have exchangeable footbeds so you can get

one that is more comfy.

A pair of sandals can run anywhere from $80 to $125 at the store,

online, or in the catalog. Well worth it to know you get the right

fit and footbed.

It does take a while to form to your foot. Please know that when you

buy them. They seem more stiff when you first get them. Once your

foot forms into the footbed, they become your best friends.

The new Softside footbed is something I would recommend to anybody

with RSD or bad foot problems. I also have the cork sandals but love

my softsides the most.

Find a store near you or order a catalog to learn more before you

buy.

I now can no longer wear any other shoes but my Birks. You couldnt

offer me more than they cost to take them away.

Go to www.birkenstock.com to find your perfect shoe.

Not a shoe salesperson but just a plain Birkenstock Lover. I have 5

pair now. My pain doc told me to get them.

Hope this helps anyone that is in need of good shoes that they can

actually wear in comfort.

For me its SAS shoes and not other I have a pair I have been wearing

for a number of years now may 7 or 8 I went to get another pair a few

years back and got black ones the same as the ones I have but I just

haven't been able to give up the first pair as they are comfortable.

With my rsd I need a shoe that is mostly flat becasue of the foot

surgery that went wrong. I paid a hundred dollars for each pair and

they last and last well the brown ones do I have to get the black ones

broke in or buy anohter pair of brown ones as maybe the brown is

softer I really do not know.

Rhonda,

Yes it helps, thank you for all of the advice. I plan to go to the Birkenstock website just to get some ideas. I may buy from QVC, it depends how much cheaper they are, though I hear what you are saying. It not too much difference I will probably buy from the store. I am especially looking for a pair of sandals to start, I am tired of wearing the same clothes because I have no shoes to wear. And the summer is coming here and very hot to wear socks. Hopefully after that I can save up some money again and buy some regular shoes from them too. My feet hurt so much in shoes and I don't go out too much, so I just need them for the few days I go to work or to doctors. I'm going to try to check them out this weekend but probably can't buy them until next week as I just paid my rent and don't have the money to spare right now. But that's ok, gives me time to really check them out. Thanks again for all of your help, hope you are feeling well.

<hugs> Lori
